Licensing my artwork has become one of the most rewarding parts of my business. Over the years I've had the privilege of creating artwork for iconic Tasmanian brands such as The Spotted Quoll, beautiful children's clothing by Little Lissa Loo, and even custom designs for a greyhound clothing company.

Today, Bosa Art Co artwork can be found on everything from fabric, bags and homewares to candles, puzzles, beeswax wraps, stationery and clothing.

There is nothing more exciting than seeing my artwork become part of someone else's creative vision.

Licencing Options

Every business is different, so I've created flexible licensing options to suit businesses of all sizes.

Unlike many licensing agreements that charge royalties based on every item sold, I offer a simple monthly subscription model. This keeps licensing affordable for small businesses while removing the complexity of tracking individual sales.

You receive the right to use the artwork for as long as your licence remains active, with clear pricing and no percentage royalties.

Option 1 — Purchase Fabric Through Spoonflower

If you're creating small production runs and simply need printed fabric featuring one of my existing designs, you can purchase directly through Spoonflower.

No additional licence from me is required when using fabric purchased through Spoonflower, provided your use complies with Spoonflower's terms of service.

Please note that large production quantities may become more economical through a direct licensing arrangement. International customers should also be aware that import duties or taxes may apply.

Option 2 — Licence an Existing Design (Non-Exclusive)

Love one of my existing designs?

You can licence the digital artwork for use on your own products.

This option includes:

• Access to one existing Bosa Art Co design (Non-Exclusive)
• Permission to manufacture and sell your products while your licence is active
• A simple one-time administration fee
• An affordable monthly licence subscription

When you no longer wish to use the design, simply cancel your subscription. Your licence ends at the conclusion of your final paid month.

Option 3 — Exclusive Licensing & Custom Design

Looking for something unique?

You can secure exclusive rights to one of my existing designs, or we can create an entirely new design exclusively for your business.

Exclusive licensing ensures that the licensed artwork will not be licensed to another business while your exclusive licence remains active.

Custom design fees vary depending on the scope of the project and the time involved. Once completed, the artwork is licensed to you through the same simple monthly subscription model.

Licence Terms

To keep everything clear and protect both of our businesses, the following terms apply to all licences.

Copyright

Licensing artwork does not transfer copyright ownership.

All copyright and intellectual property rights remain the property of Sarah Pienig / Bosa Art Co at all times.

Your licence grants permission to use the artwork only under the agreed licence terms.

Licence Use

Your licence allows your business to manufacture and sell products using the licensed artwork while your subscription remains current.

The licence is granted only to the named business and may not be transferred, assigned or shared with another individual or business without my prior written approval.

If ownership of your business changes, the new owner must obtain a new licence before continuing to use the artwork.

Print-on-Demand Platforms

Licensed artwork may not be uploaded to or sold through print-on-demand marketplaces or similar services.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Redbubble
• Society6
• TeePublic
• Zazzle
• Printful
• Printify
• Spoonflower (unless purchased directly as fabric through my Spoonflower shop)

If you are unsure whether a platform is permitted, please ask before uploading any artwork.

Alterations

Licensed artwork must not be edited, recoloured, separated into individual elements, rearranged or otherwise altered without my prior written approval.

If changes are required, I am happy to make them where appropriate. Additional artwork or editing may incur an administration or design fee.

Artificial Intelligence

My artwork may not be uploaded to, used by, or supplied to any artificial intelligence system for training, image generation, reproduction, modification or any related purpose.

Any unauthorised AI use will be considered a material breach of this licence and may result in immediate termination of the licence.

Ending Your Licence

You may cancel your subscription at any time after the initial minimum time required.

Your licence remains active until the end of your final paid subscription period.

Once your licence has ended, you must immediately cease:

• manufacturing new products using the artwork
• ordering new stock featuring the artwork
• creating new products featuring the artwork

Existing stock may not be sold after the licence expires unless otherwise agreed in writing. Please keep your subscription running during your “selling off” period.

For exclusive licences, I will attempt to contact you within 30 days of cancellation to confirm that you intended to end the agreement.

If I receive confirmation—or if I receive no response within 60 days after your final payment—the artwork may become available for licensing to another business.

Breach of Licence

If a licence term is breached, I may require the unauthorised use to cease immediately.

Where appropriate, a written notice may be issued requesting that the breach be corrected within a reasonable timeframe.

If the breach continues, I reserve the right to terminate the licence and pursue any legal remedies available to protect my intellectual property, including seeking compensation for any loss or damage were permitted by law.

Before any licence commences, you will be provided with a formal Licence Agreement outlining the specific terms and conditions applicable to your project. Please read this agreement carefully before signing, as it forms the legally binding agreement between Bosa Art Co and the Licensee.
