Originally from Victoria I grew up surrounded by an artistic family and often sketched with my grandmother. I did learn many art skills but found myself most comfortable with a pencil in my hand. So I decided to channel this love of drawing to create the detailed pieces I produce today. My love of animals and nature often inspire my choice of subject.
Pencils are surprisingly versatile and there are many techniques that can be used to turn a drawing into looking like a painting!
In this workshop we will learn about layering colours to achieve real depth in your work while creating a beautiful succulent art piece. You will also learn the difference between blending and burnishing your colours together. How different pressure applied to the pencil can change the outcome and other tools that can be used alongside your pencils to add extra detail.
